Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using ShankLab (“the Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What ShankLab Does

ShankLab is an AI-powered golf swing analysis tool. You upload a video of your golf swing, we extract still frames from it, and those frames are sent to an AI model to generate coaching feedback. We do not store your video — only extracted frames and the resulting analysis.

3. Third-Party AI Processing

Frame images extracted from your swing video are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API for analysis. By using ShankLab you consent to this processing. Anthropic’s own privacy and data usage policies apply to data processed through their API. We do not sell your data to any third party.

4. User Accounts

Account creation and authentication is handled by Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to upload content that is illegal, harmful, or that you do not have the right to share
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service in a way that disrupts others

6. No Professional Advice

ShankLab provides general coaching suggestions generated by AI. It is not a substitute for instruction from a qualified golf professional. Use the feedback at your own discretion.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that analysis results are accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShankLab and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
